Reflections At Blåvatnet

from €54.00

During my second trip to Norway in 2022, I visited a small glacier lake called Blåvatnet in Lyngen municipality. I slept at a parking lot near the glacier and woke up super early so that I would get to the glacier before anyone else and would be able to enjoy the scenery in peace. The hike was about an hour long walk through a gently upward sloping field of rocks, which meant that I had to be really careful not to twist my ankles while walking. Once I got to the lake there was no wind and the surface of the lake was completely still, making it reflect the image of the mountains and the glacier behind it from its surface. I quickly took some images of the view and proceeded to make myself a cup of morning coffee with the water from the lake only to notice that I had forgotten my gas burner to the car so I just sat there in silence for a few minutes and then walked back to the car to make my coffee before driving back to Finland.
